Shipping Documentation System

SDS is a web-based system to collect and collate data for LPG, LNG, condensate and crude shipments and automate the production of standard shipping documentation.

The Shipping Documentation System provides the infrastructure to collect data relating to shipments and produce shipping documentation for oil and gas facilities. The system incorporates the latest web technologies over ISS proven backend architecture.

  • Reports are configured via a Word template.
  • Automatically collects levels, volumes, etc from production databases
  • Automatically collects product quality data from laboratory systems.
  • Configurable product properties list, simple configuration of qualities by user.
  • Inbuilt tank strapping tables for level-volume conversions.
  • Direct access to tank process data, volume, level, temp etc.
  • Supports multiple consignments in one shipment.
  • Automatic export of data (XML) to production allocation and other related systems.
  • Automatic distribution; email, web, etc of reports and documentation.
  • Historical trend view of export & tank volumes, pressures, temperatures, etc
  • Standard conversion calculations, e.g. API, etc.
  • Plug in calculation set to meet differing customer requirements.
  • Automatic production of hourly export snapshot summaries.

Those who need to access the data do not need experience with complex software or large and unwieldy spreadsheets. The data is presented in an easy to understand tabular and graphical form accessed through a standard Internet web browser. The system is set up to automatically send the documentation to JVs, agents, marketing, and so on, when the shipment is complete.
Data can also be exported directly to Excel® for analysis at the client PC. Users can configure adhoc historical trends and reports of any shipping or production data, via the web tool.

The Shipping Documentation System provides a consolidated repository of all the information that is used in the shipping process and avoids the common problem of “islands of automation” arising from the use of multiple spreadsheets and databases. The system provides an integrated approach to managing the flow of information and the changes that frequently occur during the shipping process.
The shipping system is entirely web-based and can be easily accessed both offshore and onshore, based on the in-built security model and permissions assigned to users.

Benefits of the Shipping Documentation System include:

  • Effective synchronization of offtake schedules.
  • Single, integrated system for multiple types of product for users in diverse locations.
  • Allows rapid response to shipping contingencies.
  • Automatically calculates demurrage charges.

Key Features of the product are:

  • Supports LNG, LPG, condensate and crude parcels.
  • Interfaces to ISS Cargo Offtake Planning System.
  • Provides a web-based user interface to enter and validate data.
  • Provides configurable “plug in” equation set to meet differing customer requirements.
  • Printed, email, and web based distribution of standard shipping documents (such as Bill of Landing, Certificate of Quality, Cargo Manifest, Hourly export summary, Notification of Departure, Certificate of Quantity, Certificate of Origin, and so on.)
  • Allows administration users to maintain the reference data used through out the system such as Consignees, Consignors, Vessels, JVP details, and so on.
  • Allows two or more users to concurrently use the system from anywhere in the intranet.
