Cargo Planning
Manages the planning and scheduling of gas and liquid products offtakes.
The Cargo Planning system is a system which integrates with other company systems to manage scheduling and the reliable shipment of oil and gas products from producing facilities. The system works around a planning time period window and integrates actual and planned production to estimate when offtakes should be scheduled. It also provides the facilities to mange lifting entitlements between JVs and lifting parties.
The system also integrates with and works with a number of disparate data sources including production forecasts, contract entitlements, historical planning and production data, inventory data and offtake tanker schedules. All of this information is accessible to the user as if it was a single “black box” of information – the user is unaware of the data links that exist in the background. Onshore and offshore users are able to coordinate effectively as the system effectively facilitates the business workflow.
The Cargo Planning system provides a consolidated repository of all the information that is used in the cargo planning process and avoids the common problem of “islands of automation” arising from the use of multiple spreadsheets and databases. It provides an integrated approach to managing the flow of information and the changes that frequently occur during the cargo planning process.
Cargo Planning is entirely web-based and can be easily accessed both offshore and onshore, based on the in-built security model and permissions assigned to users.
