BabelFish Excel® Add-in
Retrieve and display BabelFish data in a tabular fashion, using the functionality of Microsoft® Excel®
The BabelFish Excel® Add-In provides a way to easily connect to a BabelFish server and retrieve time-series data for input to a spreadsheet. Data can be retrieved so that it can be updated or in a free form that is more suitable for editing and formatting after the data has been retrieved. It is also possible to write single values back to BabelFish using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) scripting.
BabelFish Excel Add-In makes it possible to extract data from BabelFish into an Excel spreadsheet. This makes it possible for users to perform further processing on data fetched from BabelFish, in the familiar and powerful environment of Excel. The Excel Add-in provides a variety of functions that can also be used in formulas.

BabelFish Excel Add-In runs as an add-in within each installation of Microsoft Excel 2007. Each add-in connects to a BabelFish service running on a erver, which is generally a web application. This service retrieves data from BabelFish, reporting it back to the add-in as necessary. The BabelFish Excel Add-In 2007 makes use of some of the new features of Excel 2007, namely the Office Ribbon and Action Panes, and is backwards compatible with previous versions of the Excel add-in so that all existing spreadsheets will continue to work with minimal change.
