BabelFish Sentinel is part of the BabelFish Foundation suite of products. It automates event detection and executes the analysis process by monitoring a configured set of predefined business rules. Although many real-time reporting tools can generate powerful statistics and metrics, they still require someone to look at the report data for any action to be taken. BabelFish Sentinel enables workflow creation that monitors data for a number of conditions, and then executes a business process that performs one or more configured actions. This can range from simple out-of-the-box email or SMS notifications, to configured ERP processes such as raising work orders.
