ISS was founded in Perth, Western Australia in 1995. The company initially developed custom applications to meet the needs of operational staff working in the Resources Sector.

Working closely with clients allowed ISS to identify a market niche – to provide web-based tools that enabled Operators to see a comprehensive real-time view of how the whole plant was operating, not just individual applications or processes. From this the company’s flagship product BabelFish™ was born.

BabelFish™ is now used by many of the major Oil & Gas and Mining companies. BP, BHPB, Shell, Woodside, Santos and Rio Tinto have all installed BabelFish™ at their Australian operations.

Building upon ISS’s reputation in Australia the company successfully listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: ISS) in 2004.

ISS is focused on expanding the company into the international marketplace and now has offices in Singapore, the US and the UK. A network of partners and distributors has also been set-up across the Middle East to support our expansion in this region.

This growth has been fuelled by our solid reputation in the Australian market for developing strong client partnerships and delivering quality software applications.
