Planning within an Upstream facility has to be a fluid process. Budgets and forecasts are often out of date as soon as they are produced as they can not cater for the dynamic nature of the operating environment.
ISS planning applications focus on operational constraint planning, where real-time information can be factored into plans. For example; current weather conditions may constrain well production, which in turn impacts on port and shipping activities.
